Fragrances that were never designed with a gender in mind. These are the scents in our range that sit comfortably on anyone: balanced compositions where no single note dominates, built around woods, musk, amber and clean citrus rather than the heavy florals or sharp aromatics that tend to read as masculine or feminine.
What makes a fragrance unisex?
Mostly structure. Scents read as masculine or feminine largely through convention, powdery florals and sweet fruit on one side, sharp aromatics and heavy woods on the other. The fragrances here deliberately sit between those poles, which is why they suit couples sharing a bottle and anyone who has never found the gendered aisles particularly useful.
Oils or eau de parfum?
Our perfume oils are alcohol-free and wear for 10 to 12 hours on skin. Exotic Oud is the exception: it is an eau de parfum, so it contains alcohol, and it wears for 8 to 10 hours. Both sit in this collection because both wear well on anyone. If you would rather browse by who a scent was composed for, we also have perfume oils for him and perfume oils for her.
Sharing a bottle
Because perfume oils develop with your own skin chemistry, the same oil genuinely smells different on two people. A shared bottle will not produce two identical scent trails, which is part of the appeal, and a practical reason oils suit households better than sprays.
Silk Vanilla is a good place to start if you want something soft and warm that suits almost anyone.
How to wear it
Dab onto moisturised pulse points and let it absorb for a minute before dressing. Do not rub. If you already wear an eau de parfum, try applying an oil underneath it first; the oil gives the alcohol-based top notes something to cling to.
As with any fragrance, patch test on a small area of skin before full use.
